Donate your way - We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Your donation is fully tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.  You will receive a letter of acknowledgment for your donation.
Financial donations:
We plan to generate 40% of our annual budget from "earned income" (admissions, classes, community seminars, workshops, memberships, gift shop sales, parties, rentals, etc. when we have a site.) We will need to raise the remaining 60% through donations, foundations, and grants.

How much is your children's future worth?
Over a million children - that's over 13,000 school buses full - are abused each year in America.
·
A startling one out of every five children in the U.S. lives in poverty.

The more violence teens witness, (regardless of whether it was in person or on television/media) the more likely they are to smoke cigarettes or marijuana, consume alcohol, or use hard drugs.

Juveniles accounted for 17% of all arrests and 16% of all violent crimes. (1998-99)

35.7% of youth have been involved in physical fights at school (1998-99)

1 in 5 high school students considers suicide - 1 in 10 attempt it.  (8.3% of youth 10-19 yrs made suicide attempts during 1998-99)

Children exposed to violence see it as an acceptable  behavior and a way to settle conflicts.

Aggressive and violent behavior begins in very young children who are exposed to violence.
Did you know:
What can be done:
Aggression is a learned behavior.  It is learned from adults, peers, media.

It can be unlearned.  By good examples, learning alternatives to violence, practicing role plays, learning to identify harmful behaviors, self control, anger management.

Students who spend 1 to 4 hours per week in extracurricular activities are 49% less likely to use drugs and 37% less likely to become teen parents. (2003)

Children's Museum's are an excellent extracurricular activity where families can learn and play together.

The Children's PEACE Center, is a special kind of museum that offers alternatives to violence.  It has a safe friendly atmosphere to allow interactive experimentation in improving character, building self-esteem, and developing peacemaking skills for life in each visitor.  Each one will learn they do have alternatives to violence and can indeed build a peaceful community in which to live.  By building a better community and better relationships, a safer and more affluent neighborhood can be developed.

The Children's PEACE Center offers the building blocks of Character Education that meets the Georgia Board of Education Performance Standards.  Children learn at an early age that they can make a difference in their lives by making better choices, learning conflict resolution, learning teamwork, developing good self esteem and controlling their anger and emotions in a positive manner.  Through building good, strong character and ethics, these young children will grow into our future leaders.

The Children's PEACE Center provides intergenerational activities that encourage parents, caregivers and children to learn to communicate better, understand their differences and their needs, develop anger management, and learn stress relief which will help in eliminating some of the causes of domestic and child abuse.
Your donations can help eliminate volence and child abuse. Your donations help build tomorrows leaders today.

The Children’s PEACE Center, like any not-for-profit organization, relies on its donor base to provide the necessary funding for its programs.  How much we do is limited by the resources we have available to us.

Did you know:

$10 will enable one child to experience the fun of learning peacemaking skills
$28 will provide violence prevention materials for four (4) children
$50 will educate one adult in conflict resolution skills to work with children and families
$2000 will provide one "Title One School" to experience the Character Education Field Trip

Donations are also needed to fund a permanent location for the CPC.  Purchasing a permanent facility requires substantial resources.  Not only is a physical location needed, all the associated expenses that go with a facility will need to be covered, such as utilities, insurance, and maintenance.  The best financial outlook would be to have a business or individual donate a property for our use, either on a temporary or permanent basis.
We need as many people as possible to commit to giving a minimum of $5 a month to provide ongoing peace education.  However, any amount will allow the programs to continue to reach out to children and their families to bring hope for a better, safer and more peaceful future.  Time is short, we must reach the children today; tomorrow may be too late.  Please mail your tax-deductible contribution to Children’s PEACE Center, P.O. Box 379, Acworth, GA,   30101.  Alternatively, you may pay online  through Pay Pal or use a credit card with “Network for Good.”

Please tell others about our programs and plans.  Help us get the message out.  We are looking for donations of any amount, but don’t hesitate if you can’t make a sizeable donation.  A lot of people giving small amounts can add up fast. Won’t you please support this generation of children while we still can?
